Lenovo Legion Go 2 Leaked

Competition among portable gaming devices is heating up. Following the announcement of ASUS’s Xbox Ally and Ally X models, all eyes were on Lenovo. The anticipated news came from China: the first images of the Lenovo Legion Go 2 have been leaked. The device, still in the prototype phase, is attracting attention with its powerful hardware and user-friendly design. Like its predecessor, this model comes with a large screen and detachable controllers, but this time, the OLED display seems to have raised the bar even further.

Could the Lenovo Legion Go 2 Compete with the Xbox Ally X?

According to a new leak, the Lenovo Legion Go 2 will feature AMD’s Z2 APU. While the screen size remains undisclosed, the large 8.8-inch panel appears to be retained. Thanks to OLED technology and VRR support, image quality promises a significant leap forward. This could be a significant advantage over the Xbox Ally X, which features FreeSync support but uses an IPS display.

Lenovo Legion Go 2 Leaked

The Lenovo Legion Go 2’s RAM capacity is impressive: 32GB of LPDDR5. This level suggests it can be not only a portable gaming device but also a mobile mini PC. The 2TB storage capacity supports this claim. The device’s battery capacity is stated as 75Wh, a key detail to offset the high power consumption of the OLED display.

The Legion Go 2 also stands out in terms of ease of use. The device’s trackpad makes navigating Windows 11 devices easier. Its detachable arms and built-in stand also provide an ergonomic experience for desktop use. It appears to have adopted a more flexible design approach compared to the ASUS models.

Pricing remains unclear. The Xbox Ally X is expected to retail for $899. Given the Lenovo Legion Go 2’s OLED panel and high hardware capabilities, it’s likely to command a similar or slightly higher price tag. Whether this device will appeal to gamers will depend on the final hardware version and software support.
