Lies of P Gets New Difficulty and Boss Rush Mode

Lies of P, a Souls-like game, is preparing to take an unusual step by offering players the ability to choose a difficulty level. With the upcoming Overture update, new difficulty modes and a boss rush-focused game mode will be added to the game. These innovations aim to attract both experienced players and beginners to the game.

Lies of P Difficulty Options and Battle Memories Mode

According to TechRadar, Lies of P will have three different difficulty levels. While the new options are called “Butterfly’s Guidance” (easy) and “Awakened Puppet” (hard), the original version of the game can now be played under the name “Legendary Stalker.” This move, which is rare in Souls-like games, was made in order to reach a wider player base. Developer Neowiz states that they implemented this system in response to intense feedback from players.

Another innovation that will be added to the game with the Overture update will be the boss rush mode called Battle Memories. Thanks to this mode, players will be able to fight bosses in both the main game and the Overture DLC one after another. In addition, there will be a special mode called Death March. In this mode, it will be necessary to defeat three bosses in a row with limited resources. These innovations will be offered as a completely free update.

Lies of P director Jiwon Choi stated that they wanted the game to appeal to more players and therefore made some design changes in terms of both structure and accessibility. Emphasizing that they wanted to expand the player base, Choi stated that these updates will allow everyone to experience Lies of P in their own way.

Although a definite release date has not been announced yet, the Overture DLC will be offered as a prequel to the main story and will be accessible from episode 9 onwards. This additional package will also bring back some content that was cut from the main game. The development team thinks that with these additions, Lies of P will be offered to players as originally planned.
