Mafia: The Old Country Story Trailer Released
With the new trailer shown at the Summer Game Fest 2025 event, Mafia: The Old Country has officially taken the stage. The trailer, which is completely cinematic and far from gameplay footage, hints at a classic character-driven mafia story. At the center of the story is Enzo Favara, who joins the Torrisi crime family.
Mafia: The Old Country Takes Players to the Streets of Sicily
Mafia: The Old Country takes players to the brutal underworld of Sicily in the early 1900s. The locations seen in the trailer include many atmospheric environments such as catacombs, historical ruins, vineyards and opera houses. Both on foot, on horseback or in period-specific vehicles can be used to navigate these areas.
While the lack of any gameplay footage in the trailer is striking, the producers emphasized that they made this choice consciously in order to focus on the story. The scenes presented are structured in a way that is no different from a mafia movie. Enzo’s joining the Torrisi family and his rise in the criminal world are at the forefront.
In the game that is available for pre-order, cosmetic content called “Soldato Pack” will be offered to those who purchase early. In addition, players who have a free 2K account or Deluxe Edition will be given extra rewards. This stands out as an encouraging move for both loyal players and newcomers.
Mafia: The Old Country will be released on August 8, 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Although no gameplay footage has been shared yet, the presented cinematic trailer was enough to excite fans of the series.
