MagicX One 35 Retro Handheld Console Coming
The countdown has begun for a new handheld console that will attract the attention of retro game enthusiasts. MagicX is targeting nostalgia enthusiasts with its new model called MagicX One 35. The device, which is said to be able to emulate more powerful platforms such as Dreamcast and PlayStation 2, has already become a subject of curiosity.
MagicX One 35 Comes with Dreamcast Support
MagicX, which recently announced the launch of the Zero 40 model, has now shared new information for the One 35 model. Although the company has not yet published details about the product on its official website, it has announced some visuals and plans via Discord. According to the information shared, less than 10,000 units of the One 35 model will be produced in total. 1,333 units have been reserved for the Phantom Purple color, 1,666 for Starry Gray, and 4,999 for Midnight Black.
It is stated that the One 35 will come with a 3.5-inch screen, as its name suggests, and will be equipped with Nintendo’s classic ABXY key layout, shoulder buttons, and a single joystick. As seen in the engineering sample shown in February, the device’s dual directional pad (d-pad) will also allow use in vertical mode in TATE games. These design details show that the device will be larger than the Mini Zero 28 model.
MagicX has not announced exactly which processor the device will use. However, the claim that it will be able to emulate Dreamcast and PlayStation 2 games indicates that the company has preferred a powerful chip. It would not be a surprise to see a more powerful alternative than the Allwinner A133P processor used in previous models.
The full introduction of the One 35 will be in July. It is stated that shipping dates may change depending on color options during this process. However, MagicX plans to clarify the details after first launching the Zero 40 model on June 27. This new device, which will stir up the retro gaming world, has already entered the radar of collectors.
