Many Assassin’s Creed Remake Games Coming
Ubisoft has officially announced on its blog that remakes of older games in the Assassin’s Creed series are on the way. This innovation will speed up the series’ release schedule, allowing “Assassin’s Creed games to come out more regularly”. CEO Yves Guillemot shared this good news in an interview about the future of the series: “First of all, players can get excited about some remakes that will allow us to revisit some of the games we’ve created in the past and modernize them; some of our older Assassin’s Creed games still have extremely rich worlds.”
Ubisoft Announces Assassin’s Creed Remakes
Previous games in the Assassin’s Creed series, such as Assassin’s Creed II, Brotherhood and Revelations in The Ezio Collection, have seen simple remakes, but none of them have seen an overhaul that could be called a full-on remake. Since the beginning of 2024, there have been numerous reports of Assassin’s Creed remakes in development at Ubisoft, the most notable of which is the remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. With this new interview, these claims have been confirmed. Guillemot stated that these remakes, as well as more diversity in the series, are intended.
“Secondly, to answer your question, there will be plenty of variety of experiences. The goal is for Assassin’s Creed games to come out more regularly, but not be the same experience every year,” he said. “There’s a lot of cool stuff coming, including Assassin’s Creed Hexe, which we announced will be a very different game than Assassin’s Creed Shadows. I think we’re going to surprise people.”
Assassin’s Creed fans are eagerly anticipating which games these remakes will cover and what kind of experience they will offer. Is there a specific Assassin’s Creed game you hope will be remade? Share your pick in the comments below.
