Marathon’s Price and Weapon Details Leaked
Colony Deaks, a trusted data miner in the Destiny 2 community, has shared Marathon’s pricing plan and content details. According to leaks, the game will launch in two different editions, maintaining its “premium” pricing policy. The standard edition is expected to cost $40, while the Deluxe Edition will cost approximately $60.
Marathon Will Launch With 28 Different Weapons
According to information shared by Colony Deaks, the Deluxe Edition will come with pre-order bonuses including exclusive cosmetics, a ship from the Destiny universe, and Ghost and Sparrow. It will also include season pass tokens worth approximately $30. The season pass will reportedly be entirely cosmetic-focused and will cost around $10.
On the weapons front, it seems that Marathon will launch with a very large inventory. The game will feature a total of 28 different weapons at launch, divided into various categories:
- Assault Rifles: Overrun AR, V75 Scar, Impact HAR, M77 AR
- Submachine Guns: Retaliator LMG, Demolition HMG, Conquest LMG
- Sniper Rifles: Outland, V99 Channel Rifle, Longshot
- Shotguns: Misriah 2442, V85 Circuit Breaker, WSTR Combat Shotgun
- Pistols: V11 Punch, CE Tactical Sidearm, Magnum MC
- Rail Guns: V00 Zeus RG, Ares RG
- SMGs: Copperhead RF, Bully SMG, V22 Volt Thrower, BRRT
- Sniper Rifles: Hardline PR, V66 Lookout, B33 Volley Rifle, Stryder M1T
Each weapon category has its own unique gameplay style and impressive design. It’s been reported that Bungie is testing numerous variations to establish a balanced competitive environment.
According to leaks, Bungie plans to hold a closed technical test for Marathon from October 22–27. This test will evaluate the game’s early release performance and weapon balance.
While not yet officially confirmed, this information suggests that Marathon will follow in the footsteps of Destiny 2 in terms of both content and price. This classic franchise, which Bungie is returning to after years away, will be one of the most talked-about competitive shooters of 2025.
