Marvel Could Bring Hela Back to the MCU
Hela, portrayed by Cate Blanchett in Thor: Ragnarok, was etched in memories as the first major female villain in the MCU. Despite appearing in only one film, the impact she left on viewers is still talked about. Now, there are claims that Marvel wants to bring this powerful character back.
What is Marvel Planning for Hela?
Recent information suggests that Marvel Studios wants to use the Hela character again. In the Q&A session of Cosmic Circus, Alex Perez stated that the studio is planning Hela not for the Avengers films but for a possible Thor 5. Although Thor 5 has not yet been made official, rumors about the project are frequently on the agenda.
At the end of Thor: Ragnarok, Hela seems to have been stopped with the help of Surtur, but killing a god is not always easy in the Marvel universe. This leaves the door open for Hela to return. Moreover, Cate Blanchett had previously said in an interview, “I would never say never,” regarding the possibility of the character’s return. This keeps fans’ hopes alive.
Hela’s return could add a different depth to Thor’s story. The claims that Chris Hemsworth is also preparing to say goodbye to the character of Thor make this possible return even more remarkable. Hemsworth left an emotional farewell message for the character in his Instagram post, saying, “Playing Thor was one of the greatest honors of my life.”
There is no official announcement yet, but even the rumors of Hela are enough to excite fans. If Thor 5 happens, Blanchett turning Asgard upside down once again with her iconic character is likely to be one of the scenes many viewers want to see. New information from Marvel is already eagerly awaited.
