Mass Effect 5 Development Continues

Mass Effect 5, which was announced at the annual N7 Day in 2020, has been on the agenda with limited information since then. Despite the difficulties BioWare experienced, gamers maintained their hopes for the sequel to the series. Michael Gamble emphasized in a statement he made on social media that such interruptions are normal in game development processes. Gamble also stated that new people will join the team when the full production phase is reached.

BioWare has been on the agenda with the problems it has experienced in recent years. The studio, which achieved success with Dragon Age: Inquisition in 2014, had disappointed with productions such as Anthem. For this reason, the development process of Mass Effect 5 is of critical importance for both fans and the studio.

BioWare announced that it aims to become a more “agile and focused” studio with the layoffs. However, these statements were interpreted by some fans as the studio may experience resource shortages. It is noteworthy that BioWare is focusing on projects such as Dragon Age: The Veilguard and Mass Effect 5 during this restructuring process.

Finally, the visuals shared by BioWare gave clues that the series’ classic Paragon/Renegade system may return in Mass Effect 5. This increased fans’ hopes that they will be able to relive the atmosphere of past games.

Despite all the difficulties, the BioWare team aims to present Mass Effect 5 to players as an unforgettable RPG experience. Although the release date has not been announced yet, gamers are eagerly awaiting the new installment of the series.
