Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Fox Hunt Release Date Announced
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, embodying the series’ long-standing legacy, expands beyond its single-player campaign, this time featuring the Fox Hunt mode. This online experience, which Konami has kept quiet for months, has finally received its official release date. Players will have the opportunity to experience the series’ iconic stealth and survival elements in a multiplayer format.
Fox Hunt Mode Launches
Konami announced that Fox Hunt will be available on October 29th at 6:00 PM US time, with access starting October 30th in other regions. Those wishing to play the mode will need to update the game to the latest version. However, there’s one notable detail: Fox Hunt will not have cross-platform support, meaning players will need to be on the same platform.
Fox Hunt supports up to 12 players, and gameplay is entirely based on stealth. The newly added AT-Camo device allows players to blend in almost seamlessly with the environment. Additionally, the Naked Sense scanner allows detection of surrounding objects and enemies, but this feature reduces durability, creating a precarious balance.
The multiplayer mode will feature three different biomes, and each match will be randomly assigned two rulesets. Konami also announced that Fox Hunt will not feature microtransactions. This means that in-game items and cosmetics will be earned solely through the progression system.
Delta: Snake Eater, despite some performance issues at launch, has achieved significant sales success. The game surpassed one million copies sold shortly after its release, and the Fox Hunt mode could further boost its player base. Having already reached a peak of 20,000 concurrent players on Steam, the game appears poised to surpass this figure on October 30th.
