Microsoft Gives Green Light for Hellblade 3
According to the latest rumors, developer Ninja Theory has begun work on Hellblade 3, Senua’s next adventure. After Microsoft shut down four Bethesda studios that focused on creating single-player video games, many Xbox fans worried that other development teams with a similar focus might suffer the same fate. However, it looks like that won’t be the case for Ninja Theory, the studio behind the cinematic narrative action-adventure game Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2.
Ninja Theory’s New Project: Hellblade 3
According to WindowsCentral, Microsoft has given the green light to Ninja Theory’s next project. This means that the Cambridge-based studio currently has two games in development. Having previously announced Project Mara, a small horror game, Ninja Theory’s next project is the third game in the Hellblade series.
Xbox community member and content creator Gaz said on social media platform X, “Hellblade 3 has already been greenlit. Xbox has already reassured Ninja Theory after the Tango fiasco.” This statement confirms that Xbox has reassured Ninja Theory and approved the Hellblade 3 project.
However, none of this information has been officially confirmed by Xbox or Ninja Theory. Therefore, these rumors should be treated with caution. Even if Microsoft has given Hellblade 3 the green light, things can change during the development process and games can be canceled before they are fully revealed. There is no clear information on whether Hellblade 3 exists or not, and until we get an official announcement, we should not take this information for granted.
