MindsEye Starring Very Angry
Alex Hernandez, who plays the lead character of MindsEye, Jacob Diaz, has broken his silence about the game’s problematic launch. While the technical problems experienced after the launch drew a reaction from players, the developers quickly released updates. However, these fixes were not enough to change the negative perception of the game among the public, and Hernandez openly criticized the situation.

Speaking to Check It TV, Hernandez said that he understands the disappointment of players and that this model is no longer sustainable. “Companies prefer to release these kinds of problematic games and fix them later. Examples like Cyberpunk are obvious,” Hernandez said, adding that this system harms players.
The game’s lowest-scoring Metacritic release of the year has revealed the magnitude of the backlash. Developer Build a Rocket Boy has faced layoffs following the poor launch. The studio has released a roadmap to fix the problems, but gamers are still wary.
Hernandez emphasized that he does not think it is right for companies to release unfinished games at high prices. “As a consumer, I think this model is harmful. If a product is not 100% ready, it should not be sold at full price,” he said. “Gamers want to know what they are paying for,” he said, offering a critical look at the industry.
