MindsEye Team Believes Conspiracy
While each new trailer released for MindsEye sheds more light on the highly anticipated action-adventure game, the reactions have surprised the studio. According to the Build a Rocket Boy team, the criticisms made about MindsEye are not natural and are being spread intentionally. The game’s developers argue that there is an organized effort behind this situation.
“Intentional” Claim for Criticisms About MindsEye
The developer studio’s co-CEO Mark Gerhard claimed in a statement on his Discord server that the negative comments made about MindsEye were “100% funded.” According to Gerhard, these comments are being spread intentionally in order to damage the game’s reputation. According to his statements, he has a clear view that some people want Leslie Benzies or the studio to fail.
Following these claims, Gerhard also stated that repeated criticisms of the game on social media were spread through “bot accounts.” According to him, when content is shared, similar criticisms are simultaneously circulated, which is interpreted as an indication of a conscious action. However, he has not shared any concrete evidence to support his views.
In a statement made by the studio and publisher IO Interactive, it was stated that there will be no further comment on the subject for now. MindsEye will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC platforms on June 10. The game’s new trailer, which includes features such as the content creation system, was also released recently. However, the discussions taking this direction weeks before the game’s release may lead to developments overshadowed by expectations.
