Modders Remove Code Violet From PC

Developed by TeamKill Media and introduced as a “spiritual sequel to Dino Crisis”, Code Violet will only be released on the PS5 platform. This dinosaur horror game, set in the 25th century, invites players to the challenging story of a character named Violet Sinclair, set in the Aion Bioengineering Complex. However, the development team announced that the game will not be released on the PC platform due to “sexual mods” that PC users can create.

Why Is Code Violet Not Coming to PC?

TeamKill Media detailed the reason behind the decision not to release Code Violet on PC in a statement on the social media platform X. Stating that they wanted to preserve the artistic integrity of the game’s characters and story, the studio said, “Sexual mods simplify our art and damage the reputation of our voice actors.” The team, who thought that this situation could harm the creative vision of the game, did not hesitate to make this decision despite the modding culture of the PC platform.

The studio also emphasized that they do not have a stance against the PC platform, but are absolutely against such mods. TeamKill Media said, “We are not against the modding community, we are aware of fun mods. However, we are 100% against pornographic mods.”

TeamKill Media stated that they are also considering the possibility of publishing the game for Xbox, but they do not have enough resources and time for this. The game will be released for PS5 in July 2025 and aims to offer players both a horror and action-packed experience.

Code Violet is drawing attention by focusing only on the PS5 platform after a controversial decision regarding modding culture. The developers state that they have chosen this path to both preserve the integrity of the story and offer players an original experience. It is eagerly awaited to see how the game will affect PS5 users.
