Mortal Kombat 1 Ermac Gameplay and Release Date
Netherrealm Studios has released Mortal Kombat 1 Ermac trailer, showcasing the upcoming DLC character alongside the new Kameo fighter Mavado.
Mortal Kombat 1 Ermac Release Date
To the surprise of many, the recent addition of Peacemaker to Mortal Kombat 1 in February was a high note for the community, as the character introduced a number of interesting ways to play thanks to the abilities in his helmet. Janet Cage, a character who became popular with players after her appearance in the story mode, also added a dynamic new element to Kameo combat. As the Kombat Pack now reaches the halfway point, Netherrealm Studios is giving fans a new look at the arrival of the next fighter to the game, the classic red ninja Ermac.
The trailer showcases numerous interactions between Ermac and others like General Shao, who uses one of the trapped souls to mimic the former Mortal Kombat boss character. While Ermac is a character made up of many souls through the use of Quan Chi’s magic, Netherrealm has gone out of its way to highlight that aspect through gameplay and the move set. With a number of classic moves returning for Ermac, the visual design on many of them has been improved, showcasing spirit hands, corporeal bodies, and other spirit released details to enhance how they look and behave during fights. Mavado also keeps his trademark mobility to zip in and extend combos, attack enemy players, or set traps to lock them down.
Mortal Kombat 1 Ermac will be released firstly early access at April 16 and for all players, it will be released at April 23. Mavado will also be released at some point in May.
With the release of Ermac, there are only two remaining fighters left in the Kombat Pack, with each exciting the fan base for different reasons. Homelander is the final guest character planned for this first Kombat Pack and there is no shortage of excitement over his arrival thanks to his featured role in Amazon’s TV series, The Boys. Finally, Takeda is a returning character from Mortal Kombat X, dubbed one of the “Kombat Kids” as he was originally the son of Kenshi and a student under Scorpion. However, rumors seem to indicate that Mortal Kombat 1 may change his timeline in some capacity.
