Naval Battles Are Coming to Battlefield 6
Even before Battlefield 6‘s release, discussions about new content plans began. In an update shared by EA and Battlefield Studios, naval combat was addressed and specifically highlighted. The development team stated that player requests were not ignored, further strengthening the possibility that naval combat could be added to the game in the near future.
Battlefield 6 Prepares for Naval Combat
EA’s community update included important clues about post-season plans for Battlefield 6. The statement noted, “Don’t think the requests for naval combat have gone unnoticed, just like the calls for the return of some favorite helicopters and squad systems.” This announcement was interpreted as a signal that the long-awaited return of naval combat to the series.
Naval battles were last featured in the Battlefield series in Battlefield 1. At the time, these battles offered players different strategic opportunities and added significant diversity to the series’ atmosphere. It remains to be seen how Battlefield 6 will adapt a similar experience to the modern warfare environment.
EA also announced that Battlefield 6 will feature its most comprehensive content plan yet. This includes new maps, weapons, events, and game modes, aiming to provide players with a long-lasting experience. The development team is working to strengthen the game’s live service model by regularly monitoring community requests.
Battlefield 6’s first season, which begins on October 28th, will also feature a free Battle Royale mode. In addition to the new mode, various thematic events and rewards will be offered. However, attention is already turning to naval battles, which are expected to be included in the game’s next major update.
