New 4 Player Co-Op Game: Whisper Mountain Outbreak
Whisper Mountain Outbreak is a new 4 player Co-Op game which will be available for early access on August 11.
New 4 Player Game: Whisper Mountain Outbreak
Whisper Mountain Outbreak describes itself as “Escape room meets co-op survival horror.” Set in 1998, players have to make their way out of Mount Bisik by fighting monsters, finding helpful items, and, just like old-school Resident Evil games, solving puzzles. The game features customizable characters, a Resident Evil-style health system, and unique locations to explore filled with deadly creatures. Based on what’s been shown so far, Whisper Mountain Outbreak should be a solid game to play with friends, and it should also greatly appeal to fans of Resident Evil games.
According to the Steam page, releasing Whisper Mountain Outbreak as an early access game will allow the team to deliver a more fully-featured experience. The expectation is that Whisper Mountain Outbreak will be in early access for about 12 months, and by the end of it, players can expect “meta progression, more player customization, more story elements, more upgrades, more equipment, more enemies, more scenarios, more mission types and levels.” At launch, players can enjoy “8 randomized levels with 3 mission types, 12 weapon types, 6 character classes, 15 player skill upgrades, a crafting system, and customizable character skins.”
The 2.5D graphics may not be for everyone, but there’s no denying that the game has seriously creepy vibes. If nothing else, Whisper Mountain Outbreak will be something for Resident Evil fans to keep an eye on when it launches in early access on August 11.
