New Boxing Game Coming From Street Fighter Maker
The name behind the Street Fighter legend, Takashi Nishiyama, is preparing to bring a new breath to the boxing game market, which has been stagnant for a long time. This new production, which will be developed by the Dimps studio, will meet players with the presentation of The Ring. Although the development process for the game, whose name has not yet been announced, has not started, the fact that such a name is at the head of the project has already raised expectations.
Street Fighter Legend Winks at the Boxing World
The announcement of the new game was made by Turki Alalshikh, the owner of The Ring magazine and the President of the Saudi Arabian Entertainment Authority. Alalshikh announced that Nishiyama will serve as the lead developer on the project and that the Dimps studio will undertake the development. The game will be boxing-themed and will feature original characters.
Takashi Nishiyama founded the Dimps studio in 2000 after creating the Street Fighter series at Capcom in the 1980s. Over the years, Dimps has taken on development duties in many popular series such as Sonic, Dragon Ball, and Street Fighter. Now, he is preparing to use this experience on a completely original boxing game.
The silence of EA’s Fight Night series in recent years has caused disappointment among boxing game lovers. Undisputed, which tried to fill this gap, also failed to create the desired effect due to technical problems and lack of content. The new game is expected to fill this gap and bring quality to the market.
Although the development process has not yet started, the project is expected to be detailed in the coming months. The game, which will be offered with the support of The Ring brand, aims to bring the traditional atmosphere of the boxing world to the digital world. There is no official information about the game’s release date or platforms yet.
