New Details Arrived About Venom PS5 Game

A striking development has emerged regarding the long-awaited Venom-focused PS5 game for Marvel fans. This spin-off, allegedly developed by Insomniac Games, could be announced at a potential State of Play event in September or at The Game Awards in December. The fact that the game hasn’t been officially confirmed is fueling both excitement and questions.

Two Dates on the agenda for the Venom Game

Documents leaked after a major cyberattack in late 2023 revealed that Insomniac was working on not only Spider-Man 3, but also a Venom game, a new Ratchet & Clank, and an X-Men project. The Venom game was originally scheduled for a 2024 release, but no concrete developments have been made for months. However, a reliable leaker, Detective Seeds, believes the announcement will take place this year.

New Details Arrived About Venom PS5 Game

The leak in question may have significantly impacted the studio’s plans. For example, a supplementary story pack for Spider-Man 2 was also included in these documents, but Insomniac announced that this content had been canceled. This suggests that expectations for a Venom game should be cautious.

Previous statements made by Tony Todd, who recently passed away and played Venom, may also point to this game. Todd stated that only 10% of the recorded dialogue in Spider-Man 2 was used. He also stated that he had completed two major projects, one of which is known as Spider-Man 2, while the other is thought to be a Venom game. These details strengthen the possibility of a potential spin-off project.

It’s not yet certain whether Sony will hold a State of Play in September. However, The Game Awards is a frequently preferred platform for major announcements. Therefore, an official unveiling of Marvel’s Venom game in December seems the most likely scenario. Fans are eagerly waiting to see when Insomniac Games will break its silence on this project.
