New FPS Game The Last Caretaker Announced

Helsinki-based developer Channel37 has announced The Last Caretaker, a new ocean-themed first-person survival game. The game will be available in Early Access for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store this summer, with a full release for PC and unannounced consoles 12 months later.

The Last Caretaker: Ocean Survival

The Last Caretaker is described as a first-person survival action-adventure game that takes players to an endless ocean world. In the game, you control the last Caretaker, a machine that has been reactivated after centuries of silence. Your mission is to recover lost technology, recover seed vaults, and reactivate the Lazarus Complex in order to save the future of humanity.

The world is now completely covered by oceans, and giant megastructures rise rusted into the sky. But you are not alone in this world. Ancient machines and remnants of the past still seem to serve a purpose. As players explore, they will uncover the final days of Earth and the meaning of their own existence.

Players will travel across a vast open-world ocean, discovering abandoned seed vaults, fuel stations, and remnants of ancient civilizations. By collecting ancient technology, it will be possible to reactivate vital systems and create modular upgrades. In addition, players will face complex management tasks such as optimizing the growth of human seeds in the Lazarus Complex.

The ocean is fascinating, but it is also dangerous. Hostile machines, brutal storms, and limited resources will make the task difficult for players. The Last Caretaker offers a deep experience by offering exploration and management mechanics along with the struggle for survival.
