New Gameplay Dynamics Revealed in GTA 6
Rockstar Games’ highly anticipated new game, GTA 6, features major gameplay changes, according to recent leaks. The weapon system and inventory management, in particular, are being made more realistic compared to previous installments in the series. These innovations, clearly influenced by Red Dead Redemption 2, promise a completely different experience in the GTA world.
GTA 6 Focuses on Realism in Weapon and Vehicle Dynamics
According to information shared by Tez2, a source close to Rockstar, GTA 6 is moving to a new system where players will no longer be able to “airdrop” weapons. Like Red Dead Redemption 2, the weapon storage system is being moved to the trunk of a car. Players will keep their extra weapons in the trunk of their vehicle and access them only while inside. This change aims to add a strategic layer to the game and provide a more realistic combat experience.
Rockstar is also reportedly redesigning the weapon selection wheel. The company is said to be experimenting with a “sub-wheel” system within the main weapon wheel. This is thought to allow for quicker access to different weapon types. However, it has not yet been confirmed whether this feature will be included in the final version.
These changes could put an end to the “unlimited weapon carry” approach that has long been the GTA series’ legacy. Players will no longer be able to carry every weapon at all times, requiring more careful planning of the pace of the action. While some fans find this change “too limiting,” many are happy with the idea of more compelling gameplay.
Rockstar Games has not yet officially confirmed this leaked information. However, the company’s previous success with Red Dead Redemption 2 suggests it will apply the same meticulous attention to detail to GTA 6. If these changes are confirmed, GTA 6 could be the most mature installment in the series, not only with its massive map but also with its gameplay depth.
