New Hellraiser Game on the Way, According to Players

Horror games have been experiencing a significant surge recently, and gamers are speculating that a title inspired by the Hellraiser universe will join the fray. A short, quiet trailer shared by Saber Interactive has excited Hellraiser fans and hinted at a potential announcement.

Could a Hellraiser Game Offer Asymmetrical Multiplayer?

The video, shared on Saber Interactive’s YouTube channel on July 17th, features only an eye emoji as a title, but features elements reminiscent of Hellraiser, such as chain sounds, screams, static television, and candles. In the comments to the video, many users confirmed the connection, saying things like, “This is definitely Hellraiser,” and “The chain sound and bells remind me of Pinhead.”

The Hellraiser character previously appeared in Dead by Daylight, but developer Behavior Interactive recently announced that it had lost the license. Following this development, there are rumors that the license may have transferred to Saber Interactive. The phrase “PM 1:00 UTC. July 22, 2025” at the end of the video was interpreted by players as the official announcement date.

The potential game will also feature an asymmetrical multiplayer structure. It is likely to feature a 4v1 format similar to games like Evil Dead, Friday the 13th, and Dead by Daylight. However, the fact that only Dead by Daylight has achieved this long-term success in the genre is causing concern among players. How the atmospheric nature of the Hellraiser universe will be utilized and how iconic characters like Pinhead will be handled is eagerly anticipated.
