New Hope for Fallout 3 Remaster

After the first images of Oblivion Remastered leaked onto the internet, all eyes turned to the Fallout 3 Remaster project. Although the project mentioned in the documents that emerged during Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard King has been silent for a long time, it is still alive according to reliable sources. However, those who are waiting may need a little more patience.

New Hope for Fallout 3 Remaster

Fallout 3 Remaster Will Come But the Time is Uncertain

Fallout 3 Remaster first appeared in Bethesda documents leaked in the FTC case two years ago. This document stated that Oblivion Remastered would be released in FY2022 and Fallout 3 Remaster in FY2024. When it became clear with the images accidentally leaked by Virtuos that Oblivion was actually being developed, hopes for Fallout 3 were revived.

According to reliable insider NateTheHate2, Fallout 3 Remaster is still in development. However, it is currently unclear when it will be released to gamers. According to Nate, this process will “take some time to complete.” This means that the game will not be released in the near future.

According to the leaked release schedule, Fallout 3 Remaster was planned for the same year as The Elder Scrolls VI. However, it is known that TES VI’s development only started in 2023. This shows that both projects are a few years away. Oblivion Remastered also missed its own planned year and was released in the following fiscal year.

It is debatable how valid the timeline is after two years. However, one thing is certain: Fallout 3 Remaster has not been canceled yet. Since Oblivion’s remake has been realized, a similar surprise for Fallout 3 may not be too far away. For now, we need to wait.
