Developed by Main Loop Videogames and published by Relevo, Submersed 2 is an upcoming indie game set in The Hive, a marine research facility that lost contact with the surface four years ago. During this time, nobody attempted to explore the locale, and gamers will be the first to try to discover what happened and seek out survivors. Submersed 2 – The Hive is the sequel to the original Submersed, originally released in 2019. Submersed did not manage to secure critical acclaim, though, as the title was largely criticized for its repetitive gameplay and lackluster execution.
Submersed 2 – The Hive will be released on May 29, 2025, and will introduce a chilling first-person experience for gamers as they try to uncover the mysteries of The Hive. The game promises an immersive atmosphere focused on exploration, puzzle-solving, and careful inventory management. Including many of the staples of the survival horror genre, gamers will have limited ammo and will face enemies such as sharks, monsters, and others, using very few resources to create traps and distractions while they try to stay alive. As can be seen in the game’s promotional material, Submersed 2 – The Hive will likely be a claustrophobic experience, offering an action-packed horror experience at sea. Submersed 2 will be available for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, and gamers can also try out a demo for Submersed 2 before deciding if they want to purchase the game and dive into its horrifying lore.
