New Location Clue Arrived for Dead Island 3

The Dead Island series has long been one of the most talked-about zombie-themed action games. Despite delays and development issues, Dead Island 2 launched successfully and received critical acclaim. Now, all eyes are on the third installment in the series. A new post from Dambuster Studios hinted at an imminent official announcement for Dead Island 3 and offered strong clues that the game will be set outside of Los Angeles.

A New Map in Dead Island 3

Dambuster Studios’ social media post also celebrated the significant success of Dead Island 2. The studio announced that the game had reached over 20 million players, and the phrase “When there’s no more room in Hell-A” was the most striking detail about the series’ future. This phrase references both the classic Dawn of the Dead film and the Los Angeles setting of the second installment. It’s already a strong possibility that the third installment will feature a different location.

The image featured in the post, featuring Jacob from Dead Island 2, has sparked speculation that the new game might retain the existing cast of characters. The fact that players continue their journey with familiar faces while introducing a new setting to the series suggests the studio plans to maintain a balance of surprises. This strategy stands out as a strategy that will both delight veterans and appeal to new audiences.

Dead Island 2 was delayed for nearly a decade during its development, plagued by studio changes, and faced the threat of cancellation numerous times. However, upon its release in 2023, despite these challenging times, it reaffirmed the series’ strength through both sales figures and player feedback. Therefore, the third game is expected to be much more structured and have a shorter development timeline.

The real question now is where Dead Island 3 will take place. Fans are speculating, ranging from tropical islands to major cities. Choosing a completely different geography after Los Angeles could breathe new life into the series. For now, Dambuster Studios’ hints only increase expectations. When the official announcement comes, the future of the Dead Island series will be more clearly defined.
