New Predator: Badlands Trailer Released

The new Predator film, Predator: Badlands, promises to thrill moviegoers hungry for sci-fi action. The first trailer for the film, directed by Prey director Dan Trachtenberg, is packed with details that nod not only to the Predator universe but also to the Alien franchise. The film follows a young Predator named Dek as he and his android companion, Thia, on a new planet searching for the “ultimate predator.” An emotional and action-packed adventure awaits.

Predator: Badlands Trailer Packs Intense Action and Surprises

The trailer opens with the tagline, “First hunt. Last chance,” and clearly reveals what the main character, Dek, will face on his first hunt. Thia, an android character, is shown losing her lower body, becoming dependent on Dek, much like Bishop in Aliens.

As the two forge a necessary alliance for survival, scenes in the trailer show them battling giant creatures, mechanized soldiers, and harsh conditions. Scenes featuring Thia being carried on Dek’s back capture both the character bond and the emotional underpinnings of the action.

The confidence director Trachtenberg gained with his previous success, Prey, is reaffirmed by the images in the Badlands trailer. The film appears to prioritize not only physical threats but also the characters’ inner transformations and collaborations.

The references to the Alien universe and the giant armor battle scene at the end have sparked anticipation among many viewers for the possibility of another Alien vs. Predator universe. The film is scheduled for release on November 7, 2025.
