New Screenshots Arrive From Kingdom Hearts IV
Kingdom Hearts fans have been eagerly waiting for years for a sequel that has finally given them a sign. Kingdom Hearts IV has made headlines with new content for the first time since its announcement in April 2022. Square Enix announced that the development process is still active by sharing two new screenshots of the game.
Kingdom Hearts IV Breaks Its Silence with Two Visuals
Square Enix stated in a statement that the game’s development process is intensive and that they are grateful for the support from fans. The development team reassured players by saying, “We are working on Kingdom Hearts IV with great dedication and will do our best to make this experience meet expectations.”
The released screenshots have a similar art style to the previous trailer, but they do show some graphical improvements. Detailed character models and environmental designs suggest that a powerful game engine such as Unreal Engine 4 or 5 is used. However, it is still unclear which engine it was developed with or which platforms it will be released on.
It has not yet been announced when Kingdom Hearts IV will be released. Square Enix is asking for patience on this issue and says, “We will share more information when the time is right.” Despite the fact that it has been two years since the game was announced, the studio’s cautious stance is interpreted as an indication that they want to deliver a more solid production.
Kingdom Hearts IV’s predecessor, Kingdom Hearts III, was released in 2019 after a long wait and received positive feedback for both its story and gameplay. The new game is expected to continue the series’ deep storytelling and dynamic combat system. Recent messages from the development team clearly show that they are aware of these expectations.
