New Steam Store Design Leaked

Recent leak revealed the new look of Steam Store, which focused on making the page more accessible.

New Steam Store Look

Steam has consistently looked to make the client easier to use throughout the more than two decades since the platform originally made its debut. Steam has done everything from improving the functionality of the client to adding hot-keys for some of its new features, like the previously mentioned performance monitor. Rumors have even suggested that Steam may have even more helpful changes right around the corner, including allowing fans to permanently disable Steam’s “mature content” warning. A new leak is now hinting at a major visual overhaul to the Steam Store.

A recent post shared to the Steam subreddit via leakers xPaw and LambdaGeneration is showing off a significant overhaul to the Steam Store’s front page. The revamped Steam layout looks to provide much quicker access to different sections of the Steam Store, including quick links to sections like top sellers, new releases, and free-to-play games among others. The storefront overhaul also provides easy access to the user’s wishlist, specifically highlighting when games on the list are marked down. The Steam client redesign includes quick links for the points shop and gift cards as well.

Steam’s newest changes come as the client recently wrapped up one of its biggest events of the year. July 10 marked the end of this year’s Steam Summer Sale, serving as one of the biggest sales of the year for the platform and seeing massive discounts on some of its most popular games. Steam has also been giving out plenty of free goodies for players to pick up following the Summer Sale’s conclusion, recently rolling out three free Steam games for a limited time. Steam’s new redesign looks to make navigating the popular online storefront easier to use and more streamlined than ever.
