Ninja Gaiden 4 Sets Impressive World Record
The long-awaited new installment in the Ninja Gaiden series has made history even before its release. As Ninja Gaiden 4 prepares for its October 21st release in collaboration with Xbox and PlatinumGames, Team Ninja held an exciting event to promote the game. The game was played on a massive screen in a helicopter, breaking the world record for “Largest Airborne Video Game Screen.”
Ninja Gaiden 4 Sets Guinness World Record for Helicopter Play
According to a video released by Xbox, the event took place over the skies of Miami Beach. Two helicopters flew simultaneously, one with a massive 26-foot-wide screen, while the other featured Ninja Gaiden community manager Emmanuel “Master” Rodriguez and rapper Swae Lee. The duo played Ninja Gaiden 4 in the sky, achieving the Guinness World Records-certified record for “largest airborne video game screen.”
According to information shared by Team Ninja, the screen was approximately 20 square meters in size and was mounted entirely on the helicopter’s fuselage. The event’s goal wasn’t just to break records, but also to showcase the thrill of the game through a unique experience. The footage quickly went viral on social media, with the community describing the intriguing reveal as “crazy, in keeping with the spirit of Ninja Gaiden.”
The new main series game, arriving after a 13-year hiatus, marks a major return for both classic fans and a new generation of gamers. The game features Ryu Hayabusa and the new hero Yakumo. Team Ninja notes that the combat system, while retaining the same grittiness as previous games, has been made more fluid thanks to PlatinumGames’ touch.
Ninja Gaiden 4, available on the same day as Xbox Game Pass, is poised to be one of the most ambitious action games of October. Furthermore, the game will be playable on the ROG Xbox Ally portable device. This record-breaking demonstration further demonstrated both Xbox’s marketing power and the continued relevance of the Ninja Gaiden brand.
