NVIDIA RTX 5000 SUPER Series Coming
It is said that NVIDIA will start a new era in desktop graphics cards. This time, the topic on the agenda is the new members of the RTX 5000 series: NVIDIA RTX 5000 SUPER series. Although not officially announced yet, leaked information shows that these cards will be talked about a lot with both their memory capacities and new generation technologies. It is claimed that the models that come with the SUPER suffix will make serious leaps, especially on the memory side.
NVIDIA RTX 5000 SUPER Series May Come with GDDR7 Memory
According to the information conveyed by VideoCardz, NVIDIA is preparing to launch the RTX 5080 SUPER and RTX 5070 SUPER models with GDDR7 memory technology. These two models will be the first graphics cards with GDDR7 memory in the desktop segment. In particular, the RTX 5080 SUPER is expected to have 24 GB of memory, while the RTX 5070 SUPER is expected to have 18 GB of memory. These values seriously increase performance expectations.
According to the leak, the new cards are designed specifically for desktop users, unlike the current RTX 5090 Laptop model. In this sense, the SUPER series may be an important part of NVIDIA’s segmentation expansion strategy. It is thought that the higher bandwidth offered by GDDR7 memory will provide an increase in performance, especially at 4K and above resolutions.
However, not only the memory amounts, but also the configuration side draws attention. It is not yet clear how many CUDA cores the cards will come with or which GPU they will be based on. However, the claims are that the RTX 5080 SUPER will host a powerful chip similar to the GA102. In addition, some improvements are expected in details such as energy efficiency and cooling solutions.
Although most of the technical details about these cards are still unclear for now, it is estimated that the SUPER series may be introduced before the end of the year.
