NVIDIA Unveils RTX PRO 6000 X Blackwell GPU

NVIDIA is drawing attention with its new generation workstation graphics card, the RTX PRO 6000 X Blackwell. This model, which has 96GB GDDR7 memory and a 512-bit memory bus, is a first in desktop GPUs. The RTX PRO 6000 X is designed to increase performance in workstation models and is based on NVIDIA’s new Blackwell architecture.

NVIDIA’s new graphics card, the RTX PRO 6000 X, uses the GB202-870 GPU variant. It is stated that this model replaces the previously used QUADRO series, and the RTX Blackwell architecture aims to maximize performance for workstations. The card is equipped with 96GB GDDR7 memory and stands out as the first desktop graphics card to use 3GB GDDR7 modules.

In addition to the memory capacity, the card is stated to have a power consumption of up to 600W. However, it is stated that this value is usually defined as the maximum TGP (thermal/power limit) in workstation models and that the final specifications can be optimized with low power consumption.

The RTX PRO 6000 X Blackwell maximizes graphics processing power by offering high performance and large memory capacity to workstation users. This model aims to facilitate intensive workloads such as large data sets, artificial intelligence applications and complex 3D modeling. In addition, it is stated that this graphics card with the Blackwell architecture also offers a pioneering technology for models to be used in gaming series.

The card’s 96GB GDDR7 memory offers an innovation not seen in desktop GPUs so far. It is estimated that NVIDIA will be able to use similar memory modules in future gaming series with this technology. However, no clear information has been shared about memory speeds yet. Samsung is known to be developing GDDR7 memory modules capable of speeds up to 40 Gbps, but it is still unclear whether the RTX PRO 6000 X will be able to reach these speeds.
