Oblivion Remastered Upscaling Options Disappeared

A small update can have much bigger effects on the gaming world than expected. Technical glitches that come after highly anticipated productions can seriously test players’ patience. Finally, Oblivion Remastered gave such a surprise to Microsoft Store users. The problems that emerged after a small update quickly turned into a big debate.

Microsoft Store Update Did Not Work for Oblivion Remastered

A small-scale Oblivion Remastered patch released by Bethesda for Microsoft Store and PC Game Pass caused serious problems with players’ graphic settings. The losses in upscaling and anti-aliasing options in particular negatively affected the experience of many players. Although Bethesda community managers state that the update only aims to make a few technical adjustments in the background, users claim that the problems they experience are much more serious.

According to player feedback, graphics settings have been completely reset, and users are unable to reconfigure them without using console commands. Some users have reported that performance has dropped dramatically after the update, and the game has even become unplayable. Problems such as increased GPU usage rates and FPS drops have been at the center of the complaints.

Bethesda has announced that they are aware of the issue and are working on a solution, but so far no patch or clear timeline has been shared. This has led to impatient waiting among players who have tried the game through the Microsoft Store.

Oblivion Remastered, which was surprisingly released just five days ago, was built from scratch using Unreal Engine 5 and promised a 4K 60fps experience. However, this technical glitch seems to have tarnished the game’s image, especially for a game in early access. It remains to be seen how quickly Bethesda will address this issue.
