Official John Wick Game Being Removed From Stores

John Wick Hex, the official John Wick game released in 2020, is being removed from digital stores this week. According to publisher Big Fan Games, the game will no longer be available for purchase on any platform after July 17, 2025. However, access will remain available for existing owners.

John Wick Hex to Be Removed from Sale on July 17

Big Fan Games announced on the game’s Steam page that John Wick Hex will be removed from all digital stores starting July 17, 2025. This decision applies to both PC and console platforms. While purchasing will be disabled after this date, users who previously purchased the game will still be able to access it through their digital libraries or physical discs.

No official reason was given for the game’s removal. However, the publisher specializing in licensed games raises the possibility that the John Wick brand license may have expired. This is considered the most likely reason for the game’s withdrawal.

Developed by Bithell Games, John Wick Hex stands out as a tactical strategy game with cel-shaded graphics. This game, which involves players using time management, deviates from traditional turn-based strategy games by offering a system where each action costs a certain amount of time. Every action, like changing ammunition or applying a bandage, consumes precious seconds.

This innovative system forces players to calculate not only the right strategy but also the right timing. However, this unique gameplay and the official John Wick branding weren’t enough to keep the game on the market for long.

Following the removal, the game’s price dropped. Normally priced at $19.99, John Wick Hex is currently available on the Humble platform for just $3.99. This could be a last-ditch opportunity for users eager to try it out.

The game, currently available on Steam, PlayStation Store, Nintendo eShop, and Xbox Games Store, will be completely removed on July 17. Those looking to add the game to their collection shouldn’t miss this date.
