One Battle After Another Trailer Released
The long-awaited project has finally come to light. One Battle After Another, which brings together master director Paul Thomas Anderson and Oscar-winning star Leonardo DiCaprio for the first time, has thrilled moviegoers with its first trailer. The film, which Warner Bros. will release in September, is inspired by Thomas Pynchon’s novel “Vineland.” The trailer, with its cast and visuals, signals that it will be one of the year’s most ambitious releases.
One Battle After Another Reunites Anderson and DiCaprio
One Battle After Another focuses on the story of former revolutionaries reunited after 16 years. The kidnapping of one of their daughters forces them to fight once again, while past scores are revealed one by one. Paul Thomas Anderson, as always, demonstrates his mastery of character depth and atmospheric creation.
The cast is as striking as the story itself. DiCaprio is joined by Benicio Del Toro, Sean Penn, Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor, Wood Harris, and Alana Haim. The film, which pays homage to Anderson’s previous work, particularly with its tone reminiscent of Inherent Vice, relies on a web of tense relationships rather than action.
Warner Bros. will release the film on September 26th. Producers Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy state that they are taking a new “creative risk” with this project. They previously demonstrated similar courage with Ryan Coogler’s “Sinners” and achieved great success. They aim to achieve a similar impact with this film.
Critics and audiences are already eagerly awaiting the film. While the trailer doesn’t reveal any major clues about the film, its use of music, cinematography, and acting are already making headlines. This collaboration between Anderson and DiCaprio is poised to be one of the most talked-about cinematic events of fall 2025.
