Pacific Drive Whispers in the Woods DLC Announced
Kepler Interactive and Ironwood Studios have announced a new content pack for Pacific Drive in a surprise announcement. The DLC, titled Whispers in the Woods, will take players deep into the Olympic Exclusion Zone. Set for release in 2025, the expansion aims to breathe new life into the game by adding new stories, areas, and dangers to the adventure.
Pacific Drive Whispers in the Woods Details
Whispers in the Woods will introduce a new scenario that adds to the game’s main story. Players will travel in their station wagons to a mysterious and dark area of the forest. This area features a new map marked by strange symbols and strange idols, containing various threats and unknowns.
One of the expansion’s most striking features is the “Artifacts” system. These special artifacts create strange effects on the player’s character and the environment. However, these powers are as necessary as they are risky. Utilizing these mysterious artifacts becomes essential for survival. Players will decide how much risk they will take to become more powerful.
The DLC includes an extensive story mode offering eight to twelve hours of gameplay. In this new, fully voiced campaign, you’ll meet different characters and discover additional side stories. New maps, special resources, different altar types, and unique vehicle parts will also be added to the game. This will allow players to customize their station wagons and experience a unique experience with new cosmetics.
Whispers in the Woods isn’t limited to just story and gameplay additions. It adds a wealth of gameplay variety with new garage stations, route changers, and collectible cosmetics. Furthermore, the expansion’s music is composed by award-winning composer Wilbert Roget II.
Pacific Drive is currently available on PlayStation 5 and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store). With the release of Whispers in the Woods in 2025, the game will offer a much broader experience in terms of both atmosphere and content.
