Pathologic 3 Release Date Announced

Pathologic 3, the new installment of the cult horror series, has finally announced its release date. Publisher HypeTrain Digital and developer Ice-Pick Lodge announced that the game will be released on PC (Steam) on January 9, 2026. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions will be released at a later date. A special demo of the game was also made available as part of the Steam Next Fest: October 2025 event.

Pathologic 3 Deepens the Mysterious Plague Story

The new game will once again transport players to a mysterious steppe city. Pathologic 3 aims to deliver a compelling narrative experience while maintaining the series’ themes of psychological tension and survival. Players will attempt to stop a deadly epidemic in just 12 days through the eyes of a doctor named Daniil Dankovsky.

While the game focuses on medical diagnosis and analyzing human behavior, it also challenges the player to confront their own conscience with choices that push moral boundaries. Every decision will reshape the meaning of the past as well as the city’s future. This makes Pathologic 3 not just a horror game, but also a story that explores the darker aspects of human nature.

The demo, released on Steam, offers an experience completely different from the main game’s introductory chapter, packed with new content. Players explore the streets of Town-on-Gorkhon, taking their first steps into the story of Daniil, who sets out to meet an “immortal” man. The city’s impossible architecture further deepens the sense of uncertainty.

Ice-Pick Lodge emphasizes that in Pathologic 3, players must not only survive but also utilize their observation and intuition. Interrogating suspects, analyzing symptoms, and making accurate diagnoses are crucial. Wrong decisions can result in the deaths of innocent people.

The game comes in five languages: English, Russian, Portuguese, German, and Italian. Full controller support will also be available in the beta. Pathologic 3 is poised to leave its mark on the gaming world as the series’ most atmospheric and philosophical installment.
