Physical Concord Games Sold for 349 Pound
Physical copies of Sony’s discontinued Concord game have suddenly become highly prized among collectors. Following its withdrawal, the game has been offered for sale on eBay for as high as 349 Pounds. This high price shows that the limited number of copies of the game has become a very valuable piece for collectors.
Physical Concord Games Are Selling Well Above Market Value
It may seem comical at first glance that physical versions of the game are selling for high prices in the wake of Concord’s high-profile failure, but such physical copies are collector’s items that will appreciate in value over time. For example, the discontinued Godzilla PS4 game, for example, fetched similarly high prices and was sought after by collectors. Physical versions of Concord are likely to suffer a similar fate, with the differences being that copies of Concord are completely useless and not a valuable rare game like Godzilla PS4.
One example of the quirks of the modern collector’s market is the sale of original sealed editions of Fortnite for hundreds of dollars. Even though these games are largely non-functional, they are valued for their rarity. Similarly, other live service games can gain collectible value over time.
