As announced in October 2024, this year’s event also featured additional PlayStation Generation Awards, where users voted for their favorite games from each PlayStation console released before PS5 that had previously won at the PlayStation Partner Awards.
Special Awards and Partner Awards
At the same presentation, Sony Interactive Entertainment also presented awards to games based on their sales performance on PlayStation platforms between October 2023 and September 2024. One of these was a Special Award, which was presented to two games developed by a third-party Japanese or Asian studio and published by SIE that achieved success:
- Stellar Blade (developed by Shift Up)

The company also presented Partner Awards to seven PlayStation games that achieved notable sales performances worldwide during the same period.
