PlayStation Players Are Afraid of the Halo Platinum Trophy
The Halo series is finally coming to PlayStation, but another topic is generating as much buzz: the Platinum trophy. Halo: Campaign Evolved, remastered with Unreal Engine 5, will feature a PlayStation Trophy system, though it won’t feature a multiplayer mode. However, warnings from veteran Halo players have already caused a stir—because this trophy doesn’t look easy at all.
Halo’s PlayStation Version Could Be One of the Hardest Trophies
Following the announcement of Halo: Campaign Evolved, players were discussing the lack of a multiplayer mode, but the topic quickly shifted to trophies. A thread that started in the /Trophies community on Reddit quickly became a trending topic with the words “LASO run.” In other words, “Legendary All Skulls On”—a near-impossible playstyle with all difficulty mods enabled. Longtime Halo fans are already warning new players, “Good luck if you want Platinum.”
LASO mode not only raises the difficulty to legendary, but also removes checkpoints and even causes some enemies to explode upon death. Halo: Campaign Evolved’s description states that it’s “the campaign with the most gameplay modifications in the series,” meaning trophy hunters will be in for a treat.
While a growing number of players are saying, “I won’t get the trophy because of LASO,” others are expecting a similar challenge, recalling the “Seriously?” achievement in Gears of War: Reloaded. Comments like, “I needed 10,000 online kills, and now LASO is here,” make it clear that the new Halo isn’t an easy trophy.
Those familiar with the series are taking the situation with humor. One user wrote, “I’ve already completed all the LASOs, so good luck trophy hunters,” suggesting that even experienced players are apprehensive. Halo: Campaign Evolved will host one of the most challenging trophies in PlayStation history, not only visually but also in terms of difficulty. Trophy hunters have a really tough job this time.
