Pokémon Gen 10’s Name and First Details Leaked
An exciting leak is brewing for Pokémon fans. According to information shared by Centro Leaks, the first details about Pokémon Gen 10 have emerged. The documents indicate that the next-generation game will be called Pokémon Winds and Waves, and that players will be able to explore on land and sea.
Pokémon Gen 10: Winds and Waves Leak Sparks News
According to Centro Leaks, Game Freak has been working on the series’ 10th generation for some time. The leaked documents reveal both the game’s titles and its thematic structure. Pokémon Winds and Waves will be set in a tropical region inspired by Indonesia and Southeast Asia. This region will consist of both islands and vast sea areas, allowing players to freely roam between land and sea.
The game’s main theme revolves around the concept of “eternity.” The story appears to be centered on “parental responsibility” and “children’s future.” The documents state, “The responsibilities passed down through each age and the right of children to inherit the world.” In this respect, Gen 10 is expected to offer an unusual philosophical narrative in the Pokémon world.
The new generation’s legendary Pokémon are also noteworthy. The Pokémon named Winds represents an old man and wields the power of the wind. It is described as a wise being who guides people and Pokémon to the right path. Waves, on the other hand, features an old woman and reflects the same theme through the power of waves across the seas. Both legendary Pokémon appear only to players who correctly raise “seed Pokémon.”
The term “Seed Pokémon” mentioned in the documents is used in Japanese trading cards for Pokémon in their base form. This suggests that there could be infinite variations based on the evolutionary process of the starter Pokémon. The map structure is also said to be procedurally generated, in keeping with the “eternity” theme. This means that the islands each player encounters may be different.
Centro Leaks noted that the documents are from 2020 and that some details may have changed. However, a key piece of information suggests that Pokémon Gen 10 will be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2, suggesting that the series will make a significant technical leap forward with the new hardware.
No official statement has yet been released from Nintendo and Game Freak. However, if the leaks are true, Pokémon Winds and Waves appears poised to be the most ambitious and innovative game in the series. Players are now eagerly awaiting Nintendo’s official announcement.
