Ryan Gosling Tries to Save the World in Space

The character, played by Oscar nominee Ryan Gosling, is tasked with investigating a mysterious substance that threatens the sun during his space journey without remembering his past. At the end of the trailer, a possible alien life form that he encounters makes the science fiction aspect of the film even more interesting. The film captures a different tone by blending scientific details with humor and emotional scenes.

Behind the project are Oscar winners Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, whom we know from the Spider-Verse trilogy. Drew Goddard, known for his adaptation of The Martian, wrote the script. The director of photography of the production, which is also visually ambitious, is Greig Fraser, who has won praise for The Batman and Dune.

In addition to Gosling, Project Hail Mary’s cast includes names such as Sandra Hüller, Milana Vayntrub, Bastian Antonio Fuentes and James Wright. The film, which is considered one of the ambitious productions of 2026, will be released on March 20, 2026. The IMAX version and a new poster were also shared with the trailer.
