Red Sonja Trailer Released
Red Sonja, in development for years, is finally getting ready to hit the big screen. The first official trailer for the film, starring Matilda Lutz, has been released. The new footage depicts a chained warrior breaking free from the arena and embarking on a journey of vengeance. The trailer is notable for its abundant action scenes and striking visual effects.
Red Sonja’s Vengeful Tale
In the trailer, Red Sonja, nicknamed “The Devil Woman with the Sword,” is captured by the ruthless Dragan and forced to survive in a gladiator-like arena. However, she quickly escapes, joins forces with other outcast warriors, and plots revenge against Dragan and his wife, Dark Annisia. Sonja’s infamous chainmail armor is also briefly seen in the film.
The film received an R rating due to its graphic violence. Directed by M.J. Bassett, the director of Solomon Kane, the film stars Matilda Lutz as Red Sonja, replacing Hannah John Kamen, who was previously considered for the role. The cast also includes Robert Sheehan, Wallis Day, Michael Bisping, Martyn Ford, and Eliza Matengu.
Production on Red Sonja began in 2022 with Millennium. Samuel Goldwyn Films distributed the film. The producers include Avi Lerner, Mark Canton, Courtney Solomon, and Jonathan Yunger. After years of delays, the film is finally getting ready for release.

This film will live up to their expectations.” Producer Luke Lieberman added, “A true Red Sonja story is coming to fans both old and new.” The film aims to bring Red Sonja’s strong, free and determined stance to the big screen.
