Resident Evil Requiem Coming to Switch 2

Resident Evil Requiem, the next installment of Capcom’s iconic survival horror series, will be released simultaneously on all platforms and Nintendo Switch 2 on February 27th. This development is generating considerable interest not only in terms of its release date but also in terms of how the game will be implemented on the next-generation console experience.

Resident Evil Requiem Confirmed for Switch 2

Resident Evil Requiem centers on Grace Ashcroft, the daughter of Alyssa Ashcroft. Grace faces terrifying creatures while trying to unravel the mystery of the Wrenwood Hotel, where her mother died years ago. The atmosphere and creature designs seen in the trailer remain true to the series’ roots while simultaneously generating a new level of excitement.

One of the game’s most striking features is that it offers players the option to choose between first-person and third-person perspectives. This allows them to choose between the series’ classic pace and a more intense horror experience. This flexibility is one of the key innovations that distinguishes Requiem from its predecessors.

The announcement for the Switch 2 wasn’t limited to Requiem alone. Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and Resident Evil Village were also announced to be coming to the platform on the same day. These games, previously available via cloud versions for the first Switch, promise a much smoother and more satisfying experience on the next-generation console. This is considered a major win for Nintendo users.

While there were rumors that Resident Evil 2 and 3 would be coming to the Switch 2, they weren’t included in the list. Furthermore, it’s not yet clear whether Requiem and the other games will be available as physical copies or solely as digital cards. While all these questions remain, the one certainty is that February 27th will be an unforgettable day for Resident Evil fans.
