Resident Evil Re:Verse Quietly Says Goodbye
Re:Verse, the multiplayer-focused production of the Resident Evil series, said goodbye to the gaming world without meeting expectations. The production, which was released in 2022, aimed to offer an online experience with its classic characters, but over time it lost its player base. As previously announced, Capcom officially pulled the plug on the game by shutting down the servers on June 29.
Resident Evil Re:Verse Is No Longer Available
Capcom announced in February that Resident Evil Re:Verse would end its service. As part of this decision, both the game itself and all downloadable content were removed from digital stores. As of June 29, the servers were completely disabled and the game was closed to access.
Although Re:Verse reached 2,080 players according to Steam Charts in its first month, this interest did not last. This number dropped to 329 in the second month and did not even exceed 100 players in the following period. The peak number reached in the last 24 hours before the shutdown was only 86. These figures clearly show that the game never gained the expected attention.
The lack of content and the intensive monetization strategies implemented in the early stages played a significant role in the game’s failure. These factors caused the potential player base to quickly drift away. With Capcom now turning its focus to Resident Evil Requiem, Re:Verse has quietly concluded its short but turbulent journey.
