Rise of the Ronin PC Version Plagued by Bugs

Developed by Koei Tecmo, Rise of the Ronin faced a serious problem during its launch on the PC platform. Players were greatly disappointed when they realized that their save files were deleted after their game sessions. While this problem caused reactions among players, the development team stated that they were aware of the problem and were working on it. However, an update that would completely fix the problem has not been released so far.

Rise of the Ronin Save File Problem and Workarounds

In a statement made on Steam, the development team suggested that players use the Steam Cloud backup feature or manually back up to prevent this error. It was also stated that disabling file sharing services such as Dropbox used on the computer could help solve the problem. However, these suggestions continue to create dissatisfaction among players because they do not provide a permanent solution.

One player noted that 10 hours of progress had been lost, writing, “I will never touch a Koei Tecmo game again until 1-2 years after its release.” Due to these issues, the game’s Steam rating has dropped to “mixed.” Negative reviews often included the phrase, “The game is great, but I can’t play it.”

Rise of the Ronin isn’t the only game plagued by technical issues. Monster Hunter Wilds previously experienced a similar launch issue on PC. Such issues are increasingly causing dissatisfaction among PC gamers. However, Koei Tecmo stated that they are working to quickly find a solution, taking into account player reactions.

“We are continuing to investigate these and other issues. We will share any new developments,” the developers said. However, the lack of a clear timeline for a solution continues to test players’ patience.
