ROG Xbox Ally Price Accidentally Revealed
While the ROG Xbox Ally series, developed by Asus in partnership with Xbox, hasn’t yet been officially priced, a screenshot that surfaced on social media has sparked a buzz. Store listings appearing in Google search results may have inadvertently revealed the prices of both the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X. This leak has sparked price discussions among gamers.
How Much Will the ROG Xbox Ally Be?
A screenshot shared by Spanish source 3DJuegos shows the Asus ROG Xbox Ally X listed at €899, while the standard model is listed at €599. These figures, based on euros, may be due to regional pricing, but they still provide a general idea of the price range.
Taking into account currency conversions, the ROG Xbox Ally X is expected to cost around $1,000 in the US, £800 in the UK, $1,400 in Canada, and $1,600 in Australia. These figures aren’t surprising considering the device’s high-end specifications, but they may push the price tag for some users.
The ROG Ally X, due for release in 2024, was initially priced at $799. While the partnership with Xbox was expected to bring more affordable pricing to the new models, this leak suggests that such a subsidy may not be available. It was anticipated that Microsoft would provide support to reduce costs, but it appears that expectation may not be met.
The official price announcement hasn’t been released yet, but if this leak is accurate, the ROG Xbox Ally X appears to be aimed at the higher-end segment of mobile gaming. Gamers are already debating whether $1,000 is reasonable for a device of this caliber.
