[Rumor] GTA 6 Will Run 60 FPS on PS5 Pro
Recent surfaced rumor indicates that GTA 6 could run at 60 FPS on the PS5 Pro.
PS5 Pro Will Have Advantage for GTA 6
Officially revealed with a trailer in December 2023, Grand Theft Auto 6 is one of the most eagerly awaited titles in the gaming industry. Earlier this year, however, Rockstar delayed GTA 6 until May 2026, likely giving the developers more time to polish the open world title.
According to a new rumor shared by Detective Seeds, Grand Theft Auto 6 will run at 60 FPS on the PS5 Pro. Detective Seeds claimed that GTA 6 continuously hits 60 FPS while being optimized for the PS5 Pro on multiple graphical settings, and that engineers from PlayStation are helping to implement the tech to optimize the game before launch. They also said that a Rockstar/PlayStation marketing deal is what is allowing for this collaboration, and that gamers will see several PS5/GTA 6 bundles coming up shortly. This information, the gamer claimed, comes from a “PlayStation engineer who has provided highly accurate and verified info several times in the past.”
Detective Seeds is not a major leaker with a long track record, so gamers should take their claims with a grain of salt. Also, the information they shared contradicts previous rumors about Grand Theft Auto 6 on PS5 Pro. Last year, it was rumored that GTA 6’s massive world would push Sony’s console’s CPU too hard, which would make 60 FPS impossible even on the powerful PS5 Pro.
