[Rumor] Resident Evil 1 Will Get Another Remake Version
One famous gaming industry insider has revealed that remake of Resident Evil 1 is currently in development and it will be released for franchise’s milestone.

The first Resident Evil game has already been remade once before, back in 2002, originally released as an exclusive for the Nintendo GameCube. This remake was done from the ground up, updating the game to something a little more modern and conventionally scary at the time, which earned it critical acclaim. The HD version of the game has released for many platforms, which made all fans will be able to play the game. Now, after 20 years, Capcom is preparing to make another Remake for the game.
Leaker and industry insider Daniel Richtman (better known as DanielRPK) made a post on his Patreon, claiming that Resident Evil 1 is getting the same remake treatment that the second, third, and fourth titles saw in the last few years. Capcom has previously teased fans about a “special announcement” for the franchise’s 30th anniversary, which will take place in 2026, as the first game was released in 1996. With these factors in consideration, a Resident Evil 1 remake would be a fitting announcement and title to celebrate the milestone.
Recently, there are a lot of leaks about upcoming Resident Evil games. Considering these leaks, we can say that Capcom is preparing a lot of new stuff for Resident Evil fans.
