Sacred 2: Fallen Angel Remaster Coming

One of the most overlooked RPGs of its time is returning after 17 years. Sacred 2: Fallen Angel will be reunited with players in a new remaster developed by SparklingBit and published by THQ Nordic. The original game, released in 2008, received mixed reviews and limited interest in the series. However, this remaster, due for release in the fourth quarter of 2025, between October and December, could bring the world of Sacred back into the spotlight.

Sacred 2 Remaster Coming to Consoles, But Multiplayer Only on PC

The new Sacred 2: Fallen Angel remaster will include all expansions from the original game. It will offer numerous technical improvements, including a remastered combat system, a modernized user interface, improved textures, new lighting effects, and an expanded view range. However, there’s one important detail console players should be aware of: Multiplayer will only be supported on the PC version. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X users will have to settle for a single-player experience.

According to the game’s official description, “Ancaria is on the brink of collapse. T-Energy, once a source of prosperity, now fuels corruption, conflict, and chaos.” In this dramatic atmosphere, players will choose one of six different heroes to forge their own destiny in a vast open world. Each character has their own unique abilities, story, and gameplay style.

The remaster promises extensive content for both seasoned veterans and newcomers exploring the Sacred universe for the first time. With hundreds of side quests, challenging dungeons, customizable skill systems, and loot-focused RPG elements, the game aims to offer depth.

The game’s release price has not yet been announced. However, it is currently unknown whether THQ Nordic will remaster other Sacred games. However, the revival of Sacred 2: Fallen Angel could be a promising step for the series’ potential future.
