Sekiro Anime Project Leaked Online

The Sekiro universe may be poised to find its place not only in the gaming world but also in the anime scene. A new domain name registration for “Sekiro” has revived the previously rumored anime project and sparked considerable curiosity among fans.

Does the Sekiro Domain Name Indicate an Anime Project?

The registration of the domain name “sekiro-anime.jp” by Japan-based Kadokawa Corporation on July 31, 2025, has excited Sekiro fans. As Kadokawa is the parent company of the game’s developer, FromSoftware, this development is considered a strong indication of a potential Sekiro anime project. The fact that the domain name is valid until 2026 suggests that the project is planned and long-term.

ResetEra was the first platform to notice the leak. According to a post shared by Wario64, the anime will be produced by studio Qzil.la. This young studio, known for Hell’s Paradise, has previously produced a successful action-anime project. Therefore, it’s not surprising that they were chosen to create an animated adaptation of a world with such an intense atmosphere as Sekiro.

Given Qzil.la’s production style in past projects, the Sekiro anime is likely to be a mini-series consisting of short episodes. While no official announcement has been made yet, an announcement is expected shortly after the domain registration. Technical preparations prior to such announcements are generally considered the beginning of the promotional process.

FromSoftware continues to be active beyond Sekiro. The studio is rumored to be in “advanced development” on an undisclosed new game. These developments may be part of the studio’s strategy to expand its brand value by expanding to different platforms. The Sekiro anime appears poised to be a prominent part of this expansion.
