Shadow of the Erdtree Got it’s First Hotfix
The long-awaited Shadow of the Erdtree expansion pack for FromSoftware’s acclaimed open-world action RPG has arrived. With this new add-on pack, players embarked on new adventures in the “Land of Shadows” and faced more challenging battles than they expected.
FromSoftware Listened to the Players: Shadow of the Erdtree Receives First Balancing Update
While some players were frustrated by the extreme difficulty of the battles, the developers were quick to respond to player feedback. The balancing patch for Shadow of the Erdtree was an important step in showing that player concerns were taken into account and addressed.
Elden Ring Balancing Update 1.12.2 brings significant balancing changes and adjustments to PC graphics settings. With this update, significant adjustments have been made to the attack and damage reduction properties of the “Scadutree Blessing” ability. Now, damage reduction rates for attack will be increased for the first half of the maximum Blessing enhancement amount, and the second half will receive a more gradual improvement. There will also be a slight increase in the attack and damage reduction provided by the last level of Blessing enhancements.
Another point of note is a bug in the graphics settings. The ray tracing settings were automatically activated due to preloaded save data, leading to unexpected changes in the game’s visual quality and performance. You can check the Ray Tracing Quality settings via the “Settings” and “Graphics Settings” options in the in-game menu. From this menu, it is possible to optionally set Auto Ray Tracing to Off or On. FromSoftware plans to roll out more balancing updates and bug fixes going forward.
